WALTHAM & CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On October 12, 2007, Victor Acquisition Corp., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of PerkinElmer, Inc. (NYSE: PKI), commenced a tender offer to acquire all outstanding shares of common stock of ViaCell, Inc. (Nasdaq: VIAC), at a price of $7.25 per share, in cash, pursuant to a previously announced Agreement and Plan of Merger among PerkinElmer, Inc., Victor Acquisition Corp. and ViaCell, Inc., dated October 1, 2007.
