DRAPER, Utah, Sept. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Ortho Development® Corporation (ODEV) has received FDA clearance for the Alpine Hip Stem, the latest addition to its growing hip replacement product line. The Alpine Hip Stem is intended for use in total hip arthroplasty and hemiarthroplasty procedures.

Alpine was developed based on the clinically-proven, conical tapered hip stem philosophy. ODEV’s engineers worked closely with a select team of orthopedic surgeons to advance known concepts and principles resulting in unique design enhancements. These include the optimization of three critical aspects of the implant - neck length and shape, medial curve geometry and fit, and overall stem length.
