CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NovaMed, Inc. (Nasdaq: NOVA) today announced that it has acquired The Buying Group, an optical products purchasing organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The purchase price was approximately $7 million and the transaction closed on December 31, 2007. “With over $24 million in gross sales and approximately $2.4 million in net revenue, The Buying Group represented an attractive acquisition opportunity for us,” commented Thomas S.
