Medical News Today -- Pioneering new research to try to stop dementia developing in people who have experienced a stroke has been given a new research grant. The ‘PODCAST’ study hopes to find out whether intensive treatment a few months after a stroke can help combat dementia. One in six people have a stroke and thirty percent of stroke survivors develop dementia.
