This nicely featured hospital bed comes in manual and electric versions, both with foot-end caregiver controls and patent-pending side rails designed to decrease gaps and help improve patient safety. The electric version contains caregiver and patient side rail controls for optimal and easy positioning, a non-powered CPR release for easy access in emergencies, and a battery backup in case of power failure. It also features several bed articulations, such as Hi-Low, head, knee and automatic contour, as well as 12-degree Trendelenburg and reverse-Trendelenburg capabilities.
It is compatible with most standard mattresses, over-bed tables in the low position, IV poles, sling scale devices, hoists, Foley-type bags and urinal devices.
The Basic Care(TM) Bed joins Hill-Rom's comprehensive patient care bed offering that includes the innovative TotalCare(R) Bed System, the new VersaCare(TM) Bed System and the new CareAssist(TM) Bed, and a variety of other specialty beds, such as the Clinitron(R) Air Fluidized Therapy System.
Basic Care beds meet IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 60601-2-38 and UL 60601-1 internationally recognized safety standards. They have an IPX4 level of protection against fluid ingress as defined in IEC 60529 and are manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality standards.
