NDS Surgical Imaging Names Daniel H. Berry as Chief Executive Officer

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- NDS Surgical Imaging (NDSsi) today announced that Daniel H. Berry has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Berry has been on the Board of Directors of NDSsi since 2007, and brings over 30 years of executive management and engineering experience to the company.

For the past 9 years he has been an Operating Partner at Riverside Partners, a Private Equity firm specializing in Healthcare and Technology investments. Prior to joining Riverside, Berry held various positions including President and Chief Operating Officer at Ultratech Stepper Inc., (presently Ultratech Inc. NASDAQ: UTEK), a semiconductor equipment company, Executive Vice President International Operations at General Signal Corp and various technical and management positions at Perkin Elmer Corp. He began his career at Bell Laboratories. At Ultratech, Berry was part of the team that accomplished a management buyout in March of 1993, and a very successful IPO 6 months later.

He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, and is on the Board of Trustees of the Polytechnic Institute of New York University.
