SKOKIE, IL--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 15, 2008 -- NanoInk, Inc., one of the world’s leading nanotechnology enterprises, announced today the launch of its NanoBioDiscovery Division. The new division will utilize Dip Pen Nanolithography® nanofabrication techniques, in combination with proprietary detection systems, to produce uniquely sensitive assays for protein discovery and identification. Femtofluidics handling of samples and reagents with these systems will help provide key benefits for users, including enhanced reaction kinetics and assay cost savings.
Bruce Dudzik, NanoInk’s Senior Director for Business Development, is leading the new unit. He summarized the division’s customer benefits by saying, “If you’re working in drug discovery, our company can help you find new drug targets that were previously out of reach and help identify compound safety issues earlier in the research process, so you save both time and money.”
In addition, Mr. Dudzik emphasized that the new division will be accessible to customers of all sizes. “If acquisition costs and training are a problem,” he said, “our contract research group can give you great results and invaluable experience with our system.”
James M. Hussey, CEO of NanoInk, added these thoughts, “NanoInk is committed to developing applications for Nanofabrication and partnering to find solutions for the challenges associated with Life Science Research.”
