Mortara Instrument Inc. has purchased a 1.5-acre property near its main Milwaukee campus in the Bradley Woods Business Park to accommodate expansion of its medical device business, a company official said Monday.
Chuck Webster, Mortara’s senior vice president, the Americas, said the company is working to determine what operations would go into a new building, expected to be roughly 40,000 to 60,000 square feet. The property’s proximity to the Mortara headquarters, 7865 N. 86th St., made it attractive and provided an opportunity to bring different elements of the business closer together, he said.
