DALLAS, May 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Moll Industries, Inc., a value-added solutions provider and custom manufacturer of high-precision plastic components and fully assembled medical devices, has opened for business in Tucson, Arizona. In late April, West Coast operations transferred to a renovated building housing new machinery and enabling Moll to offer competitive advantages to customers in ways not possible from the previous Moll Medical - Costa Mesa, California locale. Medical molding and non-medical molding and assemblies are slated to be in full production after a brief ramp up period marking completion of an overhaul on 85,000 square feet of space. An infusion of nearly $3.5 million in capital investments into infrastructure, grounds preparation, building improvements and equipment transformed the facility into a state-of-the-art production compound readying it to deliver products for multiple core markets and encompassing a Clean Room of approximately 5000 square feet. The new facility also provides supplemental services and manufacturing accommodations with potential to handle upwards of 60 presses.
The Clean Room is designed and operational to Class 100K standards and was finished to requirements for a number of existing customers who are leading international healthcare product providers. Additional Clean Room space is available for customization to new projects. Seven loading docks, seven silos, a 25,000 square foot warehouse, and easy airport accessibility are some additional features attributable to the new site.
