Medtronic, Inc. Lands $58 Million U.S. Defense Dept. Deal

Medtronic lands a 1-year, $58 million extension of its U.S. Defense Dept. contract for radiology equipment. The U.S. Defense Dept. extended a deal with Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) for another year, the agency said yesterday. The contract extension, worth $58 million for the Fridley, Minn.-based medical device company, is for radiology systems, subsystems, and components for the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies, the DoD said.
