A new medical device startup founded by a Washington University medical student is taking aim better detecting childhood visual disorders. The company is called Visiolog and it has developed a patented device that serves as a more efficient eye test that can discover visual suppression in children’s eyes within one minute of administering the test. Paul Gamble, who founded Visiolog, said the company has been funded by $10,000 in early seed financing, mostly through business plan competitions.
