CHICAGO, Jan 15 (Reuters) - Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp (MRX.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Tuesday that Impax Laboratories Inc (IPXL.PK: Quote, Profile, Research) had requested U.S. regulatory approval to sell a generic version of its Solodyn acne product, sending its shares down nearly 9 percent.
