Medical Services International Inc. International Awarded Contracts As A Result Of Participation In Dubai Medical Conference

EDMONTON, Alberta, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce that it has received orders for 1.5 million VScan HIV test kits as a result of its participation in the Dubai Medical Conference. These orders will generate revenue of approximately $3.5 million US over the next 15 months.

The orders totaling 1.5 million VScan HIV test kits are from two Middle East countries. Medical Services is to deliver the test kits in 12 equal orders over a period of one year starting May 1, 2006. Payment for the test kits will be by Irrevocable Letter of Credit from a Western Bank. In addition to the above, our distributor is negotiating with several other countries and expects to receive additional orders that will be in excess of 1.0 million HIV test kits. The company feels that this will be an excellent market for the VScan HIV test kit as a result of its accuracy and specialty use in remote areas using whole blood so that the testing can be completed without medical facilities and trained medical personnel. There has also been significant interest in our VScan TB test kits and Hepatitis C test kits. We believe that these test kits will generate a secondary market.

About VScan

The VScan rapid test kit is a single use, easy to use test for the screening of HIV 1&2, Hepatitis B&C, Tuberculosis (TB), Dengue Fever, West Nile, Malaria, Syphilis and Prostate Cancer. The kits cannot be sold in Canada.
