Med-Tech Maker, PMT Corporation, Wouldn’t Hire Women, Or 40+ Workers: Federal Lawsuit

PMT Corp wouldn’t hire but others are hiring plenty of people right now! Check it out! (Isn’t it tempting?)

PMT Corp., a maker of medical-device products in Chanhassen, is facing a lawsuit from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that claims the company refused to hire women or workers older than 40. The Star Tribune reports on the suit, filed Wednesday. EEOC investigators say that between 2007 and 2010, PMT hired 70 people, but not one woman, in sales. The suit also cites witnesses who claimed President and CEO Alfred Iversen told recruiters to avoid hiring women, who he allegedly claimed were a “100% failure rate” in sales.

Don’t forget, hundreds of biopharma companies are hiring! (We know you can’t resist.)
