Forensic scientists will be better able to estimate when someone died with new genetic tools being developed to identify fly maggots, says an Australian researcher. Forensic entomologist Michelle Harvey, a PhD student at the Centre for Forensic Science at the University of Western Australia, presented her research this week at the International Congress of Entomology in Brisbane.
