Lerner Medical Devices, Inc. (LMD) announces the launch of "Ask Nurse Linda," a consumer education blog focused on topics related to skin health and the treatment of skin diseases, such as psoriasis and vitiligo, in honor and commemoration of Psoriasis Awareness Month.

Psoriasis is the most prevalent autoimmune disorder in the United States, affecting 7 million Americans. The disease causes skin cells to grow more rapidly than they shed, presenting itself on the skin or scalp in patches of raised, red skin which are painful and itchy. Psoriasis can have a devastating effect on the quality of life of patients who also have an increased risk of many other health problems, such as heart disease and diabetes.
