CINCINNATI, April 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Kendle , a leading global full-service clinical research organization (CRO), today announced it has entered into a strategic relationship with Medidata Solutions to use Medidata’s Rave(R) as an in-house Electronic Data Capture (EDC) solution to streamline the collection, cleaning and processing of clinical research data for U.S. biopharmaceutical customers. “Efficient delivery of high-quality data is key to Kendle’s success as a leading provider of Biometrics services,” said Gregg Dearhammer, Vice President, Biometrics. “Our partnership with Medidata positions Kendle to stay at the forefront of the dynamic clinical data management market. It further aligns our capabilities with the trend of big pharma moving toward full EDC adoption on all studies, while also providing a flexible and user-friendly solution that allows us to offer the same services on smaller trials.”
Medidata Solutions is a provider of electronic clinical data capture, management and reporting solutions, and its Rave(R) software is currently used by more than 40 biopharmaceutical, medical device and research organizations in more than 70 countries worldwide. Through Medidata’s ASPire to Win program, Kendle will become a certified implementation and services provider of the Rave(R) software, a unified platform which has been recognized for its ability to integrate EDC with other clinical applications for better manageability. Under the non-exclusive agreement, Kendle’s Biometrics associates will be trained and certified to offer in-house EDC services including database design, programming, output to sponsors, edit checks, training and support. Data will be housed, maintained and backed up on Medidata’s secure servers.
