KARLSRUHE, Germany and LOS GATOS, California, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- joimax medical solutions GmbH Karlsruhe, Germany, announces that it has hired a full time CEO to manage its wholly owned US subsidiary, joimax, Inc. joimax received FDA clearances for all of its products, and specifically for the THESSYS(TM) Transforaminal Endoscopic Spine System, in Q3 of 2005. Since the spring of 2005, initially as a consultant Michael Stek has managed joimax’s activities in the US out of Los Gatos, CA. “With Michael we hired a very experienced and competent Manager from the industry, who will continue to be instrumental in building our business base and activities in the US”, said Wolfgang Ries, Managing Director and Founder of the joimax GmbH. Michael Stek, BSc., brings over 20 years of medical device industry experience to the company. Before joining joimax, Inc., Michael Stek was “Vice-President Sales and Marketing” for NeuColl, Inc., and prior to that he held various positions of growing responsibility, including “Managing Director/Director of Sales”, at Acromed UK and in the US (later DePuy Spine, a Johnson & Johnson Company). Michael Stek and Wolfgang Ries now form the core team of Senior-Management at joimax, to which others will be added as the company expands in the near term. The company is engaged in the development, manufacturing and distribution of technologies for minimally access (invasive) surgical procedures, specifically in spine.
Advisory competence added with new Advisory Board Members In the beginning of 2006 joimax GmbH finalized its Board of Directors. All 5 members bring a wealth of knowledge based on their different business experiences. Verena Eisenlohr (Chairman of the Board), Michael Kranich, Dr.-Ing. Peter Grassmann, Dr. Chris Tanner and Thomas Remmele.
