Purdue is axing jobs but others are hiring too! Check it out! (Isn’t it tempting?)
A Stamford-based pharmaceutical company has endured patent infringement cases and complaints about abuse of its painkillers, and now it is in the midst of a restructuring process that has resulted in layoffs. Purdue Pharma in Stamford, a privately owned business that developed the OxyContin painkiller brand, said that the company is initiating a program to streamline its operations in the face of intense competition with the goal of ensuring its sustainability. “We have several initiatives, including reducing expenses, offering voluntary early retirement and restructuring certain departments, designed to help Purdue continue serving the patients and health care professionals who are our customers,” said spokesman Robert Josephson.
Don’t forget, hundreds of biopharma companies are hiring! (We know you can’t resist.)
