(NASDAQ: IRIS) today announced that it will request a five-day extension from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to the filing of its Form 10-Q for its second quarter financial results ended June 30, 2007 because it does not expect to complete the preparation of the 10-Q by the initial filing deadline of August 9, 2007.
