PITTSBURGH, Dec. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- “I was having a conversation with an EMS worker, and he informed me that many EMS workers suffer back injuries loading patients on gurneys into and out of ambulances,” said an inventor from Fort Washington, Md. “This inspired me to come up with an assistive device to help them.”
He developed the EVHB to make it easier to load a patient on a gurney into or out of the back of an ambulance. The device reduces physical stress and strain on EMS workers and related personnel. It would not restrict workers due to inadequate physical strength. The invention is designed to help reduce the number of claims from occupational injuries. Additionally, it features network connectivity, provides added peace of mind and is easy to use.
