New ultra-high quality gold nanoparticles simplify assay development and improve the sensitivity of immunoassays.
Cambridge, UK, 28th August 2014: Innova Biosciences (Innova), a specialist provider of bioconjugation products and services, announced today the commercial launch of InnovaGOLD, a new range of ultra-high quality gold nanoparticles that have demonstrated improved sensitivity, stability and reproducibility in immunoassays compared to other commercially available gold colloids.
Gold nanoparticles are used in many applications such as lateral flow point-of-care assays, microscopy, flow cytometry, Raman spectroscopy and dynamic light scattering. In contrast with other gold nanoparticle products, the InnovaGOLD particles have a highly consistent spherical shape, and demonstrate a high efficiency for antibody binding leading to maximum sensitivity.
The InnovaGOLD range has been developed to complement existing products in Innova’s gold nanoparticle range, which includes InnovaCoat® GOLD, for scientists who are using large volumes of nanoparticles for the manufacture of sensitive diagnostic tests. The InnovaGOLD range is available in high concentrations, to simplify assay development.
