Dublin, Ireland, 11 August 2009 – ICON Development Solutions is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Alan Marion, MD, PhD, as Vice President and Medical Director at ICON’s new clinical pharmacology unit in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr Marion joins ICON from MDS Pharma Services and has nine years’ experience as a Principal Investigator on over 250 Phase I studies. These have included first in man, radiolabeled, dose escalation, bio-equivalence and drug interaction studies.
Dr. Marion received his Bachelor of Science from Brooklyn College, New York, with a major in chemistry. He proceeded to earn a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1972 and went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nebraska in 1975.
