NASHUA, N.H., Oct. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- iCAD(R), Inc. , an industry-leading provider of Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) solutions for the early detection of cancer, today announced that, as part of a renewed focus on marketing its technologies to physicians and consumers, the company has retained the expertise of two world-class marketing and communications firms with proven success in the medical device industry-PJA Advertising and Marketing and Schwartz Communications. This announcement follows other recent changes within the iCAD organization, with the goal of optimizing iCAD's sales, marketing, and distribution capabilities to increase the reach of iCAD's technology.
"iCAD is excited for PJA and Schwartz to join our experienced team in this exciting new phase of the company's evolution," said Stacey Stevens, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Strategy for iCAD. "iCAD has proven technology that, when used in conjunction with mammography, not only increases the detection of cancer, but also enhances the workflow for radiologists. We recognize the importance of not only continuing to improve upon our base technology, but to also effectively market its benefits to radiologists and patients."
PJA (Cambridge, MA), was hired as iCAD's agency-of-record in July to develop a comprehensive integrated communications effort on behalf of iCAD. Targeting radiologists who specialize in mammography, the program will include new positioning for the brand, along with a complete redesign of the Company's Web site, advertising, on-line communications, thought leadership activities, and the development of a new trade show presence. PJA's initial activities will culminate with the brand's launch at RSNA in November.
"iCAD is one of those rare companies perfectly poised to capitalize on a burgeoning market opportunity," according to Adam Sholley, Senior Vice President of Account Services at PJA. "They have a superior product, a new and energized management team, and strong growth in the adoption of digital mammography technology, all of which should propel them to the next level."
In addition, iCAD has engaged Schwartz Communications (Waltham, MA) to communicate the benefits of CAD technology and iCAD's solutions to consumers and physicians. Schwartz will execute a comprehensive and targeted media program that will promote iCAD through the media, with the goal of driving demand for CAD technology on a local and national level. The PR program will also leverage an issues-based approach to drive awareness of CAD technology as an adjunct to traditional mammography, communicating the benefits of iCAD's solution. "Schwartz is pleased to work with iCAD, at this exciting time in the Company's growth," said Helen Shik, Vice President of Schwartz Communications. "The PR campaign's top objective is to significantly increase awareness of iCAD's technology among physicians and patients."
