Drugs called beta-blockers have been shown to improve survival in patients with heart failure. Now, new research indicates that they are effective even when the patient has diabetes. Therapy improves outcomes for diabetic patients with chronic heart failure, albeit not to the extent realized by patients without diabetes, according to a new report.
