INDIANAPOLIS, IN (January 9, 2018) – As a company that prides itself on its experienced scientific and business professionals, AIT Bioscience is pleased to announce that the company’s CEO, Terri Pascarelli, has been recognized with the Strategic Transformation Achievement Recognition (STAR) award by Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA). Pascarelli was announced as one of the company’s 2018 award recipients during a reception at the JP Morgan healthcare conference this week in San Francisco. Three healthcare executives were recognized as inspirational role models and applauded by a packed room of industry leaders.

Along with Pascarelli, Julie Gerberding, MD, MPH, executive vice president for strategic communications, global public policy and population health and chief patient officer, of Merck & Co., Inc., has been selected as the 2018 Woman of the Year (WOTY); and Nick Colucci, chairman and CEO of Publicis Health, is the recipient of the Honorable Mentor award.

“As passionate advocates of gender parity in the workplace, Julie, Nick and Terri have long advocated for the development and advancement of women in the work environment. Their commitment and the sustained impact they have had is a timely and encouraging reminder – that there are many leaders who create and sustain healthy and positive corporate cultures for their employees. The HBA is proud to acknowledge each of them and their contributions to advancing gender parity,” said Laurie P. Cooke, HBA CEO.

For the last 18 years, the HBA has honored a volunteer who stands apart as a truly exemplary role model and who has demonstrated a long-term commitment to furthering the HBA’s strategic goals with the Strategic Transformation Achievement Recognition (STAR) award. During her many years of volunteering at the most senior levels of global HBA leadership, Terri Pascarelli effectively applied her strategic perspective and business savvy to HBA’s growth and helped set the course and lay the foundation for the organization in place today.

Pascarelli will be recognized at the 29th Woman of the Year event at the New York Hilton Midtown on Thursday, 3 May with 2,500 leaders from across the industry in attendance. This event will honor Dr. Julie Gerberding, the HBA Woman of the Year (WOTY) and will also recognize Nick Colucci, the Honorable Mentor, and nearly 100 Rising Stars and Luminaries from across the spectrum of the healthcare industry.
