Essentially unchanged over the years, this machine is the workhorse of the Harvard Apparatus volume controlled ventilators.
Suitable for animals from 1.5 to 50 kg with tidal volumes of 30 to 750 cc/stroke. Respiratory rate and I:E ratio are adjustable while the ventilator is running.
The Large Animal Volume Controlled Ventilator features a four port air/gas system with separate ports for gas inlet, gas outlet, gas return and ventilator exhaust. Gas inlet can use air or any non-flammable gas.
