BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Genta Incorporated announced that the Company has entered into definitive agreements with institutional investors to sell 6 million shares of common stock through a registered offering for gross proceeds totaling approximately $3.1 million before fees and expenses. The closing is expected to take place on or about February 13, 2008, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions. The shares are being sold pursuant to the Company’s registration statement on Form S-3 declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 11, 2004. Rodman & Renshaw, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group, Inc. served as the placement agent for the offering.
