Regensburg, November 28, 2007 - The GENEART AG with its above average sales growth ranks again among the fastest growing European technology companies and was therefore decorated with the “Technology Fast 500" award. Creator and organizer of the competition is the auditing and advisory services firm Deloitte. Monday evening, the 500 winners of the prize for the fastest growing technology enterprises showcased their business in London. The competition was attended by European technology companies from business sectors including communications/networking, the Internet/media, semiconductors/equipment, computers/peripherals, the life sciences/biotechnology and software. The placements are based on the cumulative sales growth in percent for the preceding consecutive five years. The publicly traded GENEART AG as the global leader in the production of synthetic genes and synthetic biology specialist grew its sales by more than 500 percent to EUR 7.8M in this five- year period and expects a further profitable growth of net sales in 2007. Among life science companies GENEART ranks 18th in the competition. Being a German “Technology Fast 50" company, GENERT had qualified for the European “Technology Fast 500" competition.
