GE Healthcare Launches Prepacked Gravity-Flow Columns for Manual Antibody Purification

April 04, 2011 -- GE Healthcare’s rProtein A GraviTrap™, Protein G GraviTrap and rProtein A/Protein G GraviTrap, gravity-flow columns enable single-step, efficient manual purification of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies from various species in milligram scale. The high capacity columns deliver high purity purification with a run time of approximately 30 minutes (dependent on sample).

These columns provide reliable, easy-to-use solutions for small-scale antibody purification. The product packaging contains everything that is needed for manual purification, as it readily converts into a convenient column stand (Workmate) with a plastic tray to collect liquid waste.

Each pack contains 10 prepacked columns to facilitate multiple samples to be purified simultaneously, using a gravity format. Columns contain 1 ml bed volume and can bind milligram amounts of antibodies. The columns are reusable up to five times depending on the sample.
