Frontage is using its presence at the PSWC 2010 AAPS/FIP Conference to unite people in fundraising for a key New Orleans organization who is on the ground providing critical services to fishermen and their families. Rather than providing a traditional name-stamped token to conference attendees, Frontage is sending dollars to the AAPS conference host city of New Orleans. Frontage will donate $5 to the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s (GNOF) Gulf Coast Oil Spill Relief fund for every individual that visits the company’s booth (1537) from November 13th to November 17th at the FIP Pharmaceutical Sciences World Congress/AAPS Annual Meeting. In addition, the company is inviting its employees, clients and friends around the world to personally participate in these efforts.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to support work that helps the communities most affected by the oil spill in Plaquemines, St. Bernard, Jefferson, Terrebonne, and Lafourche Parishes. The fund is identifying both short and long-term needs, to ensure a lasting impact on the community. The GNOF oil spill relief fund is making emergency grants to nonprofit organizations responding to immediate needs, as well as helping to strengthen coastal communities against future environmental catastrophes and help them address the long-term effects of the spill. The AAPS conference brings together thousands of scientists from around the world with the goal of improving global health through advances in pharmaceutical sciences. As a regular exhibitor at this conference, Frontage will be using this opportunity to not only publicize its rapidly growing service lines in drug research and development, but also to extend the company’s dedication to people and quality care to people of New Orleans via this fundraiser.
