SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A Federal District Court in Texas has ordered that Pressure Products may proceed to trial against Greatbatch Medical on an expedited schedule and seek a judgment that Greatbatch’s newly announced OptiSeal Valved Introducer, as well as its FlowGuard and ViaSeal introducers, each infringe Pressure Products’ patents. In addition, the Court denied Greatbatch’s request to challenge the validity of Pressure Products’ patents in light of the fact that the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has already confirmed that the patents are valid. The Court has set the trial date to determine the extent of Greatbatch’s infringement for September 7, 2010.
