FDA Sets February Meeting for Johnson & Johnson Drug

WASHINGTON -Government advisers will meet in late February to review Johnson & Johnson's antibiotic to treat skin infections. The Food and Drug Administration's panel of outside antibiotic experts will consider approval of the company's ceftobiprole at a Feb. 28 meeting, according to a notice posted to the agency's Web site. The FDA is not required to follow the panel's recommendations, though it often does.
