Houston-based U.S. Med-Equip Inc., a renter and seller of movable medical equipment, plans to open offices throughout Florida and in Nashville, Tennessee, following approval into several group purchasing organizations.
Group purchasing organizations, or GPOs are used by hospitals to sort through vendors. By being accepted into GPOs, U.S. Med-Equip is on the short-list to be used at hospitals all over the country, which expands the company’s growth potential dramatically, said Gurmit Bhatia, president of U.S. Med-Equip.
Last month, the company moved into its 31,000-square-foot headquarters at Beltway 8 and Highway 290 and expanded its satellite office in the Texas Medical Center.
