About Exagen Diagnostics, Inc.
An emerging leader in the development of prognostic and predictive in vitro diagnostic (IVD) kits, Exagen is uniquely able to discover, validate and productize small sets of genomic markers for use in oncology, infectious disease and other indications. The company’s first tests predict the risk of breast cancer recurrence, so that women with a low or elevated risk of recurrence can be identified with high accuracy. Exagen plans to submit its tests to the Food and Drug Administration for clearance later this year, and will be the first to market a set of genomic markers for breast cancer prognosis using a fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) test.
