EpiCept Corporation Announces Delay In Filing Form 10-Q For First Quarter 2006

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., May 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- EpiCept Corporation today announced that it has filed a Notification of Late Filing on Form 12b-25 indicating that its Form 10-Q filing for the three months ended March 31, 2006 will not be filed on time. EpiCept expects to be able to file its Form 10-Q within the additional 15-day period afforded under a Form 12b-25 filing.

The Company delayed the filing of its Form 10-Q due to additional time needed to collect and process the required data related to its merger with Maxim Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
