(NYSE: EHC) announces the planned retirement of Cheryl Levy, the Company’s chief human resources officer of 12 years, effective March 31, 2019. Under her leadership, the Company launched many valuable employee resources and programs in the areas of leadership development, recruitment and retention, engagement, wellness, diversity, recognition and compliance. Most recently, she oversaw the employee-led development and unveiling of The Encompass Health Way, a set of Company values, which were created as part of Encompass Health’s rebranding initiative. As chief human resources officer, Levy has managed multiple departments including organizational development, employee and labor relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, marketing and communications, and creative services. “In addition to being a strategic HR professional for Encompass Health, Cheryl has been a strong voice for our more than 40,000 employees across the country,” said Encompass Health’s President and CEO Mark Tarr. “The initiatives and programs she has established will continue moving our Company forward and position us as an employer of choice.
