Sandwich, Kent, UK, 20 February 2019 - Discovery Park, a park playing a key role in the South East of England’s life sciences community, has announced the appointment of Chris Broom as Head of Business Development.
The role will be key to raising the profile of this vibrant multi-business science campus on a global scale, identifying potential new tenants that fit with Discovery Park’s strategic vision for the future; businesses that further grow the site’s science base and reaffirm its position as a world centre of excellence for 21st Century research and development.
Chris joins Discovery Park with more than 20 years’ of inward investment experience in public and private sector roles, most recently as Head of Investment at Locate in Kent, where he was responsible for promoting the county to prospective businesses and investors both in the UK and overseas markets.

Finding a new anchor tenant for the 24,000sq. ft. manufacturing facility (Building 518), and growing the tenant community in Building 500, where some of the most famous drugs in the world were discovered, will be priorities as Chris embarks on his new role.
