The prize is a full scholarship to attend Diabetes Training Camp from June 10-15, 2013. The contest is open to people 18 years of age or older who have either type1 or type 2 diabetes. To enter the contest, people need to visit www.DiabetesCare.net and fill out the submission entry here.
Diabetes Training Camp is held at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. The camp is an opportunity for people with diabetes to spend time with medical providers, nutritionists, coaches and professional trainers to not only learn disease management skills, but learn to incorporate fitness training into their daily lives. People of all athletic levels are invited to attend the camp, ranging from a person just starting off on their exercise goals to someone training for a specific event, like a triathlon.
“DiabetesCare.net is excited to be involved in such a great project, and we look forward to seeing someone enjoy the experiences of the camp,” says John Parkinson, Clinical Content Coordinator, DiabetesCare.net.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer a scholarship to a future camper through DiabetesCare.net. This is a wonderful opportunity to reach people living with diabetes who could benefit from the Diabetes Training Camp, experience and be surrounded by campers and staff who ‘get it,’” says Matt Corcoran, MD, founder of Diabetes Training Camp.
