UTICA, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CONMED Corporation (Nasdaq: CNMD) today announced financial results for the second quarter of 2007. Adjusted net income, on a non-GAAP basis, for the second quarter increased 54% to $10.2 million, or $0.35 per diluted share, compared to second quarter 2006 non-GAAP net income of $6.6 million, or $0.23 per diluted share. GAAP net income in the second quarter of 2007 grew 174% to $9.3 million or $0.32 per diluted share compared to net income of $3.4 million, or $0.12 per diluted share in second quarter of 2006. The increase in net income was driven by top-line growth and continued leverage of CONMED’s infrastructure. The adjusted, non-GAAP figures for the second quarter 2007 exclude facility closure charges and, for the second quarter in 2006, transition costs related to an acquisition (see attached reconciliation for additional information).
