LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara will hold a public hearing on rising prescription drug and health care costs—including the top 25 drugs for which Californians and their health insurers spent the most money. Prescription drugs make up more than 13% of premium costs. Department staff and stakeholders will discuss changes in rates and out-of-pocket costs in the large group health insurance market.
