Chiltern International Ltd.'s EDC Solutions Manager Receives Professional Award

CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Chiltern International, a leading global clinical research organization, is delighted to announce that Debra Jendrasek, Manager US EDC Solutions, was recently recognized for her contributions to the EDC task force, a sub-committee of the Society of Clinical Data Managers (SCDM).

Jonathan Andrus, who chairs the SCDM sub-committee, presented Debra with the "Most Valuable Participant" award during the recognition luncheon on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 as part of the SCDM Conference. The conference was held in Lake Buena Vista, Florida from October 8-11, 2006.

The primary objective of the EDC Task Force is to develop updated content for the EDC Chapter within the Good Clinical Data Management Practices (GCDMP) document. The "by invitation only" task force was put together by the GCDMP Committee who chose members interested in impacting good clinical practices for clinical data management and improving the industry.

"I am very pleased about the work we are doing on the committee," commented Debra Jendrasek. "Re-writing the EDC chapter is necessary as much has changed in the EDC world for Data Managers since this document was originally written."

Debra added, "Our work is far from finished. The next step is to relay these upcoming changes to the Clinical Research Community." She and Glen DeVries of Medidata will present this update and how this information affects Data Managers from both a CRO/Sponsor and a vendor perspective via a webinar on November 9th.
