SEATTLE, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cell Therapeutics, Inc. announced today that, following the issuance of a press release in Italy in response to information requested by the Italian securities regulatory authority, CONSOB, regarding CTI’s business operations and financial condition, which was also furnished on a Form 8-K in the U.S. on February 17, 2009, the Borsa Italiana has confirmed that it will re-initiate trading in CTI’s shares effective with the open of trading in Italy on February 18, 2009. Based on the foregoing and CTI’s communications with NASDAQ, CTI also anticipates that NASDAQ will re-initiate trading in the Company’s shares prior to the open of the regular trading session on NASDAQ on February 18, 2009.
