Becton Dickinson subsidiary CareFusion is laying off workers in California, according to a Worker Adjustment & Retraining Notification Act notice.
CareFusion, which this month landed a $100 million contract with the U.S. Defense Dept. to develop an automated drug dispensing system, will cut 128 jobs in San Diego, according to the October notice.
Earlier this year, the FDA issued a Class I recall of select models of CareFusion’s AVEA Ventilators due to electrical issues that could have caused unexpected shutdowns.
