Canada’s Blueprint Initiative And Germany’s Institute For Bioinformatics Launch Biomolecular Data Assembly Partnership

Toronto, Canada - March 31, 2005 - The Blueprint Initiative-North America, a research program led by Dr. Christopher Hogue at Mount Sinai Hospital’s Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute, announced today that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Munich Information Center of Protein Sequences (MIPS) hosted by the Institute for Bioinformatics (IBI) of the GSF-National Research Center for Environment and Health. The agreement will see the European centre adopt Blueprint data assembly practices and will make it an active participant in the curation of peer-reviewed scientific data into the Biomolecular Interaction Network Database (BIND) hosted by Blueprint North America.
