The event will be held on October 14-18, 2007 at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibit Centre in Vancouver, Canada.
Mr. Bonifant’s first workshop, titled “Building the Business Development Function from the Ground Up at a Growth-Orientated Pharmaceutical Company,” will discuss the three key areas of building a first-rate BD function: strategy development, assessment and action, and opportunity generation. The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16 at 3:45 pm and will include participation from four senior BD executives representing global pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
Mr. Bonifant’s second workshop, titled “Understanding the Regional Differences in Deal Making,” will be held on Wednesday, October 17 at 2:00 pm. Mr. Bonifant, along with three pharmaceutical and biotech BD and licensing executives, will discuss critical considerations for BD professionals when executing regional deals, as well as country-specific differences for evaluating licensing opportunities. Delegates attending this session will hear firsthand case studies from companies that have successfully executed regional deals across various therapeutic areas.
Mr. Bonifant has been a management consultant for nearly 15 years, helping leaders of global pharmaceutical and biotech organizations and decision makers in large private equity funds. His perspectives on developments in the life sciences market are frequently published in industry and strategy journals, and he is a frequent guest lecturer at some of the nation’s premier universities. Mr. Bonifant earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
