(AMEX:KAL) (FWB:CA4), a developer of new drug treatments in the fight against cancer and other major health threats, has announced that Dr. Kunwar Shailubhai, Senior Vice President, Discovery Research, has been appointed to the position of Professor at the Institute of Hepatitis Virus Research (IHVR) and Adjunct Professor at the Drexel Institute of Biotechnology and Viral Research, Doylestown, PA. Both institutes are affiliated with Drexel University, Philadelphia, and have advanced research programs specializing in biodefense applications and viral research. Dr. Shailubhai’s appointments follow continued research progress made under Callisto’s joint biodefense program with the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, Fort Detrick, MD, and The Rockefeller University, New York, NY, to investigate and develop vaccines and treatments for use in bio-warfare applications.
