BSD Medical Announces Company’s Hyperthermia Systems Featured at International Congress of Hyperthermic Oncology and Joint Japanese Congress of Thermal Medicine

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BSD Medical Corporation (NASDAQ: BSDM) (Company or BSD) (www.BSDMedical.com), a leading provider of medical systems that utilize heat therapy to treat cancer, announced today that the Company's line of hyperthermia products was featured at the recent 2012 International Congress of Hyperthermic Oncology (ICHO) Conference, which was held as a joint conference with the Japanese Congress of Thermal Medicine in Kyoto, Japan. The conference included symposium and presentations by pre-eminent researchers of the latest research on hyperthermia, and BSD's equipment was featured in many of these presentations. The clinical studies demonstrated a significantly improved outcome from the addition of hyperthermia, delivered using BSD's equipment, to radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy for the treatment of a large variety of tumors, including sarcoma, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, head and neck malignancies, recurrent breast cancer, cervical cancer, and pelvic tumors.
