February 7, 2006 -- Breast cancer is a highly charged subject. Although not as deadly as lung cancer or colorectal cancer, breast cancer still kills a lot of women and some men. In 2005, some 40,410 women died from breast cancer, making it the third most deadly cancer. But breast cancer also has one of the longest survival periods of any major cancer, with median survival nearing 13 years.
