LYON, FRANCE (November 5th, 2015) – Bluestar Silicones will promote its Silbione® Biomedical Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) product line for long term implant applications, as well as its Silbione® soft silicone adhesives for wound, scar, transdermal and wearable device applications, along with its Silbione® light weight silicone RTVs and gels at the upcoming Compamed Tradeshow (Booth #8b E12), November 16-19, at Messe Düsseldorf.

Available in ShA (hardness) 01 through 70, Silbione® Biomedical LSRs offer outstanding physicals and lot-to-lot consistency, optimizing product design in an easy-to-process formulation, improving cycle time and part quality. These high performance materials are produced and packaged in ISO 8 and ISO 7 clean rooms respectively, in York, S.C. Device Master Files (MAFs) for Silbione® Biomedical LSRs are on file with the U.S. FDA.

It is manufactured and packaged in ISO 8 clean room and ships with guarantee of microbiological contamination ? 100 cfu/g to secure following sterilization process.

High tack Silbione® RTG 4642 brings to 1rst aid bandages painless removal, fewer allergic reaction and good resistance to everyday movements at a reasonable price point, by enabling coaters to achieve improved adhesion levels to the skin at lower coat weights than other materials currently available on the market.

For Orthotic & Prosthetic applications, Bluestar Silicones now offers Silbione® RTV 4410 LD, a system with ShA 10 and tear strength 6 N/mm but with 25% lower density than usual. This product relies on the Silbione? compromise of easy handling through low viscosity yet strong final mechanical properties, adding a smooth and tackfree touch and unprecedented lightness. This product rounds our more than 15 years experience in light weight gels for external breast prosthesis and cushioning applications.
